Fast answers for runners who want to turn Garmin or Stryd data into a smarter shoe shortlist.
Run-It turns a recent Garmin or Stryd run into a focused shortlist before you spend money. Instead of guessing from reviews, hype, or a wall of similar models, you start with shoes that match how you actually move.
Run-It reads the FIT file, analyzes running dynamics like cadence, ground contact time, vertical oscillation, stride length, and pace, then returns daily, tempo, and race shoe matches with clear labels.
A store gait check is often a short treadmill snapshot. Run-It uses a real run, real pacing, and real running dynamics, so the recommendation starts from how you move outside the store, not only from a few observed steps.
Run-It works if you have either a Garmin watch that records Garmin Running Dynamics, such as ground contact time (GCT) and stride length, or a Stryd pod. Check a recent run in the Garmin Connect app; if GCT and stride length show up, your Garmin data should be compatible.
No. Run-It is built for road running shoes. It is not for barefoot or minimalist shoes, and it is not for trail shoes. Those categories depend on factors Run-It does not currently model, such as ground feel, protection, outsole grip, terrain, mud, rocks, and technical trail stability.
The Run-It Basic plan is free because the first step should be easy for every runner: sync your running data, understand your movement profile, and get a useful shoe shortlist. The paid tier is for runners who want deeper checks and more control.
Run-It Pro adds custom shoe checks, race-distance filters, advanced biomechanical metrics, and owned-shoe efficiency comparison. The Run-It Basic plan helps you choose well; Pro is for runners who want advanced metrics around those decisions.
Use it as a strong data-backed starting point, not as a blind purchase command. Run-It narrows the field with your biomechanics; sizing, foot shape, comfort, injury history, and real-world feel still matter before you commit.

Research-informed, data-driven articles on running shoe choice, gait analysis, and what runners actually value in their shoes.
Most running shoe gait analysis still reduces shoe choice to pronation on a treadmill. The research shows why that does not solve shoe choice for most runners.
We analyzed 412 purchase entries from the previous 6 months to see where runners bought their shoes and how satisfied they were.
Run-It analyzed 643 daily-trainer feedback entries from the previous 8 months. Comfort was the top selected reason runners liked daily trainers rated 7/10 or higher.
Upload a Garmin or Stryd FIT file and get shoe recommendations matched to how you actually run.
