These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Run-It, including our website, dashboard, analyses, and payment flows. By creating an account, uploading running data, or purchasing an analysis, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About Run-It
Run-It (“Run-It”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Brecht Colemont, established in Belgium. We provide a data-driven running shoe advisor that allows users to upload activity files, view biomechanical metrics, and receive personalized shoe recommendations and reports.

2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the service, and 18 years old to purchase paid content.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and any activity under it.
- If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must make purchases on your behalf.
- Notify brechtc@run-it.be immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Service Description
Our platform includes:
- A public website describing the service.
- A user dashboard for uploading or syncing running files, viewing analyses, saving shoe preferences, and downloading reports. Where available in your activity data, analyses may include heart-rate (HR) and physiological performance data as running performance signals.
- Run-It Pro subscription flows powered by Stripe for web checkout and by Apple App Store for iOS in-app subscriptions.
We may update features, algorithms, or pricing at any time. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard or email.
3.1 Availability, Errors & Inaccuracies
We continuously update the content and offerings on the Service, but information may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Prices, product images, specifications, availability, and listed services may contain errors or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors and update information at any time without prior notice.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when requested.
- Only upload files you have the right to share and that are free from harmful content.
- Use the platform for lawful purposes and avoid disrupting our infrastructure or violating Supabase/Stripe acceptable-use policies.
5. Subscriptions, Payments, Withdrawal, Refunds
- Run-It Pro subscription: Run-It Pro unlocks race-distance filters, custom shoe checks, full mechanics metrics, unlimited rotation comparison, and degradation guidance.
- Web billing: Web subscriptions are billed through Stripe Checkout. The available plans are €8.99 per month or €79.99 per year unless a different price is shown directly before checkout.
- App Store billing: iOS subscriptions are billed and managed through Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record for App Store subscriptions, and cancellation, renewal, refund, and payment-method management happen in your Apple account settings.
- Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval until cancelled. You can cancel a web subscription through the Stripe billing portal or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals but does not remove Pro access already paid for.
- Access after cancellation: If you cancel, Run-It Pro remains available until the end of the paid subscription period. After that period, your account returns to the Run-It Basic plan unless you resubscribe.
- VAT and taxes: Prices are shown in EUR. Stripe Tax calculates and collects VAT or other applicable transaction taxes where required. The final tax treatment is shown in checkout and invoices.
- Immediate access and withdrawal right: During checkout we ask EU consumers to expressly request immediate access to Run-It Pro before the 14-day withdrawal period ends. If you withdraw after access starts, you may owe a proportionate amount for the service already provided, and you lose the withdrawal right once the service has been fully performed. For subscriptions, the proportionate amount is normally calculated pro rata from the start of access until the moment we receive your withdrawal notice, compared with the paid billing period, capped at the amount you paid for that period. If mandatory law requires a lower amount or no charge, we apply that rule. To exercise withdrawal or ask a refund question, contact brechtc@run-it.be within 14 days of purchase. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
- How to withdraw: To exercise your withdrawal right, send us a clear statement by email before the 14-day period expires. You may use this model wording: "I hereby withdraw from my Run-It Pro subscription purchased on [date]. Name: [your name]. Account email: [your email]. Date: [today's date]." You may also use the Run-It model withdrawal form: download the PDF or open the printable web form. Send withdrawal notices to brechtc@run-it.be. We will confirm receipt and handle any legally required refund to the original payment method within the required legal period.
- Checkout evidence: For web subscriptions, Stripe Checkout asks you to accept the Terms and acknowledge immediate access and withdrawal consequences. We record the Terms version, Privacy version, checkout summary version, selected billing interval, and acknowledgement flags with the Stripe Checkout Session and subscription metadata so we can prove the contract terms and handle consumer-rights requests.
- Refunds and conformity: Mandatory Belgian and EU consumer rights remain unaffected, including rights for non-conforming digital services. If Run-It Pro cannot be provided because of a technical fault, contact brechtc@run-it.be so we can restore access, correct the issue, rerun affected functionality, or provide an appropriate refund or credit where required.
- Payment confirmation: We provide confirmation of the subscription and the main contract terms in a durable format by email, Stripe receipt, App Store receipt, dashboard notice, or another suitable electronic method.
For consumer purchases made in the EU, mandatory consumer rights apply and nothing in these Terms limits such rights.
6. Data & Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your data, and how you may exercise your GDPR rights. These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy by reference.
We process heart-rate and physiological performance data only where it is included in activity data you upload or sync, and only to provide running performance analytics, effort/fatigue context, and shoe recommendations. This processing is part of the service and requires your explicit consent where special-category data rules apply. We do not use this data to diagnose, monitor, or assess medical or health conditions.
We may use pseudonymized running data, shoe ratings, and feedback to improve our recommendation logic only where you consent. You can give or withdraw this consent in your account settings or by emailing us.
7. Intellectual Property
- All dashboards, algorithms, content, and brand assets are owned by Run-It or its licensors.
- You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the service for personal running insights.
- You retain ownership of the activity files you upload.
8. No Medical Advice; Performance Insights Are Informational
Run-It provides informational running performance insights and shoe suggestions only. Heart-rate, physiological performance data, and derived performance metrics are used as training-performance signals, not as medical or health assessments. We do not:
- diagnose injuries
- provide medical treatment
- prescribe rehabilitation
- guarantee performance improvement
- guarantee that any recommendation will be suitable, comfortable, or preferred by every individual
Always consult a qualified professional regarding health concerns or changes to training.
All information is provided for general informational purposes only and may not reflect your personal medical needs, training context, or product preferences.
Risk of injury: Running and training carry inherent risks. You remain solely responsible for the way you train, the footwear you choose, and the decisions you make based on the information provided by Run-It.
9. Third-Party Services
We rely on Supabase (database/authentication), Stripe (web payments, subscription billing, tax calculation, invoices, and billing portal), Apple App Store (iOS subscription billing), Azure and Vercel (hosting), Azure Application Insights if enabled for infrastructure diagnostics, Cookiebot (cookie consent), PostHog (consent-gated product and website analytics, including masked website and dashboard session recording only after statistics consent, with broad autocapture disabled), Sentry (error monitoring and consent-gated browser replay/tracing where configured), Garmin/Strava/Stryd integrations where you connect them, and Resend or another email provider for service and newsletter messages. Your use of connected third-party services may also be subject to their terms. We are not liable for downtime caused by third parties but will coordinate resolutions when possible.
10. Suspension & Termination
- You may delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.
- Provisions relating to payments, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.
If we suspend or terminate your access, we will notify you unless legal or security reasons prevent us.
11. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- We do not accept liability for any injury, health issue, physical harm, or training-related incident that may arise in connection with your use of the service or reliance on recommendations, except where such liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, except in case of fraud, gross negligence, or where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Run-It and its owner from claims arising from:
- your misuse of the service
- your violation of these Terms
- your upload of content that infringes third-party rights
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights under EU law (including the right of consumers to bring proceedings in their country of residence).
14. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at brechtc@run-it.be and we will try to resolve it quickly.
15. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and/or dashboard notice. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
